The Club at New Seabury is a premier Private Golf Community boasting resort amenities with spectacular views of the iconic Nantucket Sound. With two championship waterfront golf courses, a full-service clubhouse, five restaurants, tennis courts, pools, and more, your experiences with family and friends will provide you with memories to last a lifetime.
With a diverse food and beverage operation and with new management on board, the club was looking to move to more contemporary food offerings. During this transition, they were looking to enhance all of their restaurants and beach bars. This involved not only a redesign of the restaurant’s floor plan and kitchen but also menu development and new recipe concepts.
New Seabury turned to Chef Services Group (CSG) to act as the Executive Culinary Director. New Seabury was looking for CSG to help with several aspects, including:
- Complete menu development
- Recipe development
- Menu and ingredient sourcing
- Training manuals
- Seasonal implementation
- Procurement implementation
Aside from menu and recipe development for all restaurants, New Seabury also required assistance with turning a former golfer’s snack bar into a restaurant with bistro offerings and eclectic light food fare. First, CSG gutted the former snack bar and designed its floor plan and kitchen to begin its transition into what is now known as the Sand Wedge Bistro.
We then upgraded their kitchen with a game-changing Ovention Oven, allowing them to introduce new menu items like flatbread pizza, mac and cheese, paninis, and lobster casseroles. This fun, new food is now served in addition to their traditional grilled food offerings, making it a win-win for golfers looking for food on the go and those who would prefer a sit-down dining experience.
As a result of working with CSG, New Seabury Club successfully opened the doors to the new Sand Wedge Bistro. Additionally, we developed completely new menus for other restaurants on-site, including The Popponesset Inn, The Cabana Club Snack Bar, and The Beach Bar.
