Chef Walter Presents Nestle Products with a Culinary Chic Edgeimages

The Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group (WM), a dietetic practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, is a support group for professionals who practice the treatment and prevention of overweight and obesity throughout the life cycle. This group works to connect dietetic professionals that have an expertise in weight management with public, scientific organizations and industry. Their mission is to empowers member’s to be the nation’s weight management and lifestyle change leaders by providing them with a wealth of information, tools, and resources allowing them to ultimately provide services and programs to patients, clients, and consumers.

Each year Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group, hosts a symposium for three days so that professionals may gather to learn and discuss topics that will allow them to optimize their performance and keep their clients engaged in long term management. This years Symposium was held in Indianapolis, Indiana April 12th.

Some of the topics of discussion included:

  • When a Calorie isn’t a Calorie
  • Women, Weight, and Exercise: for all the exercise I’m doing why aren’t I pencil thin?
  • The Science of Satiety: from research to real life applications
  • Kids in the Kitchen: cooking up a lifetime of health
  • and more.

Throughout the event, Chef Walter Zuromski, worked to present Nestle Lean Cuisine culinary chic meals to the symposium. Along with the Hyatt Staff, Chef Walter prepared two events to highlight the products.

The first event focused on the new Culinary Chic BYOL salad additions. These salad toppers are frozen packets that include everything but the lettuce for a restaurant style salad at home. The four signature tastes provide the consumer with bursts of flavor by utilizing bold dressings, crispy croutons, along with flavorful veggies and chicken.

  • Southwest Style Chicken
  • Bistro Chicken

 

 

The second event Showcased three meals two from the Culinary Collections line and one from the Market Collection Line. The Culinary collections line is, as all Nestle products are, Chef Inspired Creations using exciting flavors and bold tastes. The market collections bring fresh market crisp vegetables to the kitchen table, using premium meats and al dente pasta in a steam pouch. Chef Walter prepared the following three meals for 350 guests.

Ranchero Braised Beef: braised beef in a spicy red Chile sauce served with a side of chipotle mashed sweet potatoes
Chile Lime Chicken: white meat chicken in a spicy red Chile lime sauce with a medley of roasted corn, peppers and rice
Asiago Cheese Tortelloni with tomatoes, yellow and green zucchini, carrots, in a tomato vodka sauce
